Educational Philosophy There have been many philosophies passed down through the years by many great educators. Views and opinions that have varied from individual to individual. Some ideas were widely accepted and others were not. I feel that it is important for every educator to obtain their own individual educational philosophy. An individual philosophy is good way to help an educator become grounded in what they believe and strive to make that philosophy happen in the classroom. It is a belief that should be strongly believed in and in the end have an impact on the people it is aimed for, which is the students. Over the last few years, I have developed a philosophy that I strongly believe in, because it has proven itself to me, and†¦show more content†¦The social setting affects many things in the classroom, so helping the students understand the concept of sharing and being thoughtful of others will help improve the learning setting, so that students can concentrate on what is important. As a future educator, I believe that the nature of knowledge is relative. In my personal experience, most knowledge that I have obtained has been relative knowledge. It has been knowledge that has been passed down to me from different educators. Through this relative knowledge, I can instill in students the motivation to be educated, and help them realize the opportunities that an education provides them. I can pass down my knowledge and my beliefs to each student in hopes that it will make a difference in their views and ideas about being educated and will get them excited about learning. The overall purpose of education is not only to shape society, but also to shape the individual. I firmly believe that education is capable of making a person better and improving the quality of life. Through education, a person can achieve unbelievable goals, and live a life that is fulfilling and successful. In this particular area in which we live, people have neglected to become educated and live in ways that are not necessary. An education can give a person opportunities of a lifetime. Education is such an important aspect of success, and can take someone farther than they ever dreamed.
